the club for longer than most! He started
helping with the club around 1999 when
his children were swimming. He was asked
to help on poolside and it progressed from
there. He has several successes with the
club over the years but Nick has enjoyed
watching children join the club and
develop their skills most of all. As well as

Mark Webster
Mark started as pool side assistant in September
2023 and gained his Level 1 coaching in
December 2023. He is currently working towards
his Level 2 award. His son, Ben, swims for Otters
and Mark was inspired by him to learn to swim
himself in 2021. He enjoyed it so much he has
ended up coaching! As a coach, he loves seeing
the smiles on swimmers faces after they realise
their achievements in the pool.
Away from the pool he enjoys spending time with
Ben and their dog, Sophie.
