Welcome to the Okehampton Otters
Swimming and Lifesaving Club
We are a small, friendly club committed to providing opportunities to develop swimming and/or lifesaving technique, skill, stamina and fitness. Club sessions are held in the 25m pool at Parklands Leisure Centre, Simmons Park, Okehampton
Mission Statement & Club Philosophy
We aim to introduce young (and Masters) swimmers to competitive swimming in a way that protects their well-being.
This will be done by making the experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible so that swimmers are motivated to continue training and progress with us whilst, at the same time, being supportive to any swimmer needing development opportunities of other larger clubs.
The club is run by a committee of volunteers and we employ a qualified Head Coach. We are a SwimMark accredited club which ensures that we adhere to the standards and best practice as determined by swimming’s governing body (Swim England).
The committee members are;
